Challenges:

PPM is driving the design and delivery of this $450m mixed use development leading all development and project management aspects. Major challenges include the master-planning, yield management, and master programme for this huge project.  Specific challenges include identifying the appropriate staging priorities, procurement methods and managing cost planning, while also dealing with contamination and heritage issues within the site, and all local consultant and agent directions.

Solutions:

PPM implemented strong project co-ordination procedures, with extensive reporting and approvals processes for the client, enabling them to manage and direct the project from a higher level as well as operate effectively on a local level.

Results:

The first phase, being a 15 level apartment building, has commenced marketing, with the project methodology enabling the next stage to commence. Noting the site has approval for 1,450 dwellings the input PPM has provided on the project means the project is now well established for successful delivery as planned.
