Part of an overall $450m potential development and inclusive of existing Victoria Police HQ and operating Crowne Plaza Hotel, the site required extensive demolition works, relocation of vital plant and equipment including substation for the operating hotel, and the extraction of title to facilitate part sale of the site. Liaison with several owners, JV partners, and occupants made the communications and operational aspects extremely challenging. In addition, contaminants including asbestos needed to be disposed from site as well.
PPM devised highly detailed programs and communications plans, to allow for the extremely complicated works required and variance in ownership structures.
Works completed in line with client expectations, allowing for a Buyer to purchase a part of the site in February 2017 for $267m.
